Registered Nurse: ICU Float Pool
Location: West Hollywood, California Employment Type: Travel/Contract Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
Contract and Schedule
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (11/16 start); 8 weeks (12/7 and 12/14 starts)
- Shift: Night, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 to 07:30); 36- or 48-hour weeks available
- Weekends: Required
- Holidays: Must be able to work all holidays
- Scheduling: No scheduling requests can be accommodated; no RTO
- Housing: Available for travelers (at additional cost)
Role and Float Scope
- Float pool position. Expect to float to PCU, med-surg, tele (telemetry), overflow, and PACU when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- 2 years of ICU (Critical Care Float) experience
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- Experience in a large hospital setting
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or RQI
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or RQI
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Competencies
- Medication test during orientation (not pass/fail)
- Competency exam: 80% minimum passing score, 2 attempts allowed
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam: 3 attempts allowed
