RN Emergency Dept: ER/FSED Float
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Schedule and Expectations
- Scheduling requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period
- On-call expectations: None
Unit Details
- Unit: ED
- Beds: 32 Main ED, 10 FSED, 12 FSED
- Patient ratio: 4:1
- Unit staffing: Team nursing, paramedics and EMTs, and a dedicated unit secretary
- Floating: None, except between the main ED and FSEDs
- Procedures performed on unit: Intubation, chest tubes, central lines
- Patient experience expectations: Courtesy and listening attentively
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Utah
- 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
- ED experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- TNCC or ENPC
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention Training)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with central line management
- Experience with chest tubes
- Experience with intubation
Dress Code
- Caribbean Blue scrubs (required uniform)
