ER RN Emergency

Location: Apple Valley, California Facility type: Acute Care Hospital, 212 total staffed beds Contract length: 13 weeks Start date: ASAP Employment type: Travel/Contract

Schedule and Assignment

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 to 07:30), 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Opportunity for overtime
Weekends may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays
Ratio: 1:4
Call not required
Float not required
Open to a block schedule per manager discretion
Guaranteed hours: the facility may call off once per two-week pay period
Local radius: 50 miles

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
BLS issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Other Details

Eligible for first-time travelers
Epic charting system (software familiarity, not a credential)
Scrubs: navy blue for RNs
Free parking
Annual online regulatory modules (about 3.5 hours)
Other certifications may apply depending on the unit's requirements document (e.g., TNCC, NRP, CPI, MAB, IV certification)
