RN Med Surg

Employment Type: Travel Location: McKinney, Texas Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36

Unit Details

Unit location: 4th floor, Main Hospital building
Beds: 33
Staffing per shift:
- Day shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs, 1 Unit Secretary
- Night shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
Patient ratio: 1:6
Equipment: Bladder scanners, scales, vein finder, lift equipment, IV sonosite, iMobile devices for team communication, computers in patient rooms, workstations on wheels
On-call requirement: None
Scrub color: Royal Blue

Assignment Scope

Floating: Floats throughout the hospital to care for med/surg patients based on needs.
Typical patients: Telemetry, pre- and post-surgical patients, cardiac, respiratory, GI, and others.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
1 year of Med Surg experience, completed within the last year
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
