RN - Med Surg

Location: McKinney, Texas Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Employment Type: Travel

Unit Details

Building/Floor: 4th floor, Main Hospital
Beds: 33
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Staffing:
- Day shift: 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs, 1 unit secretary
- Night shift: 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
On-Call Requirement: None
Floating: Float throughout the hospital to care for med/surg patients based on needs
Scrub Color: Royal Blue
Equipment: Bladder scanners, scales, vein finder, lift equipment, IV sonosite, iMobile devices for team communication, computers in patient rooms, workstations on wheels

Typical Patients

Medical/surgical patients, including telemetry, pre- and post-surgical patients, cardiac, respiratory, and GI patients.

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Valid Texas RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Med Surg experience within the last year, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty
