RN - PCU Travel Nurse

Location: McKinney, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit: PCU (Progressive Care Unit), 3rd Floor, Main Building

Unit Overview

Beds: 46 total (16 private, 15 semi-private), average census 34
Staff: 74 total
Patient Ratios: 1:4, max 1:5
Equipment: IV pumps, Sara Stedy Lift, Roving B450 monitors, remote tele
Typical Procedures: BiPAP/high-flow O2, titratable drips
Floating Area(s): Inpatient holds in ED, Med/Surg departments
Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
Weekends/On Call: 2 weekend shifts every pay period (2 weeks) or 4 weekend shifts every 2 pay periods (4 weeks)

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
Experience managing titratable drips, such as heparin, Cardizem, and Cardene
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
