Physical Therapist Travel Job – Richmond, Virginia

Job Details

Position: Physical Therapist (PT) – Travel assignment
Location: Richmond, VA
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM; weekends rotate
Unit: Rehabilitation Therapy
Unit Size: 44 beds
Patient Ratio: 4:1
Staffing: 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, 1 tech
Floating: May float to acute hospital if rehab census is low

Unit & Work Environment

Equipment includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, Diego
Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
Patient experience standards include use of AIDET communication and immediate service recovery
The hospital holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification

Required Qualifications

Valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia
Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
Physical Therapist experience within the last year
BLS

Clinical Responsibilities

Manual therapy for neuro re-education
Therapeutic exercise
Functional activity training
Neuromuscular re-education
Self-care training
Functional electrical stimulation (e-stim)

Dress Code

Black scrub bottoms and royal blue top preferred

This position is ideal for a Physical Therapist with hospital and inpatient rehab experience seeking a travel assignment in a well-equipped rehab unit with a supportive team environment.
