Location: Rutherfordton, North Carolina Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Hours per Week: 36 (weekly guaranteed)

143-bed acute care facility offering inpatient and outpatient care
Primary Stroke Center
Chest Pain Accredited
No Trauma Designation

Position Details

Department: Emergency Department (ED), ground floor
Role: RN
Specialty: ED
Shift: 12p-12a
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: No call
Float Requirements: None
Patient Population: All ages

Unit Information

Beds: 24
Patient Ratios:
- Main area (12 beds): 4:1
- Fast Track (5 rooms): 5:1
- Extension from main (6 beds): 6:1, with Medic and Charge assist
- 1 sub-waiting room, primarily handled by the charge nurse

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
One year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year

Common Diagnoses and Treatment

CHF, COPD, CVA, Pneumonia

Eligibility

Travel candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility.
