Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Eloy, Arizona Employment Type: Travel (Health Services) Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Days, 36/48 rotation, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week Offer Process: Auto offer

Role Summary

The Registered Nurse plans and provides comprehensive nursing care in a correctional healthcare setting. Core duties include:

• Executing Licensed Independent Provider orders, dispensing and administering medications, and assisting with patient examinations and treatment.
• Attending sick call with the physician, preparing the examining room and equipment, and running pill call.
• Assessing new and ill or injured inmates/residents, making emergency referrals, and performing emergency procedures as needed.
• Supervising licensed vocational/practical nurses and non-licensed medical staff.
• Monitoring inpatient hospitalizations, pharmacy use, and controlled substance compliance.
• Maintaining medical records confidentiality, documentation, and required reports, including safety and accident reports.
• Providing health counseling and education, and supporting accreditation of the medical program where applicable.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college, university, or nursing program with a degree or diploma in nursing.
• Current licensure in the state of employment.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of professional nursing experience.
