RN - OR

Location: Sylva, North Carolina Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1

Facility Overview

86-bed acute care hospital
Five major service lines, including orthopedics, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, and emergency medicine

Unit Details

Unit: OR, 1st floor
Operating rooms: 7 OR rooms
Patient ratio: 1:1
Equipment: Hana table, trauma table, Enseal, MyoSure, NovaSure, Kabtec, Neoprobe

Schedule

Shifts: 10-hour shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
Weekends: Not required
Call: Yes. A designated call team exists, and call is only to cover their PTO days. Occasional call coverage is required for the dedicated call RNs.
Orientation schedule: November 2 and 16 through December 7, 2026

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Experience working with adult patients
C-section experience
General surgery experience
Orthopedics experience
Urology experience
OB/GYN experience
ENT surgery experience
Pain management experience
Pediatric dental experience
