RN - PACU

Location: Fort Mohave, Arizona Employment type: Travel Contract length: 13 weeks Hours per week: 40 Shift: 0630 - 1500 Openings: 1 Specialty: OR

Schedule and Call

Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: only for on-call
Call is evenly shared with other OR RNs. Call usually starts at 1700.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience of 1 year, with experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Experience in an acute care setting
General surgery experience
Endoscopy experience
Orthopedics experience
OB/GYN experience

Unit and Assignment Details

Float requirement: may float to PACU for a second RN
Patient ratio: 1:1
Beds: 6 ORs and 1 endo suite
Patient population: 70% adult, 28% geriatric, 2% pediatric
Patient type: 90% outpatient, 10% inpatient
Must-have experience: general, endo, ortho, OB, and GYN. The unit performs scheduled and emergency C-sections.
Equipment: new Olympus laparoscopic/endo equipment, processors, and monitors; Steris beds; Hana table
EHR: MEDHOST and CQI

Dress Code

Scrubs are provided.
Visible tattoos are acceptable if they meet professional standards.
Not acceptable: pornographic content, foul language, or inappropriate imagery on personal clothing.
