Labor Nurse with PP

Overview

Location: Port Lavaca, Texas
Shift: 12-hour night shift (7p-7a), rotating weekends and holidays

Facility Details

25-bed CAH
Labor and delivery is a Designated Level for Maternal and Neonatal Care (level one designation)
Department is normally staffed as a 2-person department and averages 15-20 deliveries per month
Most staff are skilled in all L&D, PP, and nursery roles
Centrally located, 2-3 hour drive to Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Corpus Christi
Large transient population due to plant construction in the county

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Labor and Delivery (4 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS
AWHONN
C-EFM
STABLE
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Housing

Housing can be challenging to find due to construction and tourism in the area. Travelers with RVs reportedly have the best options.
