RRT - Respiratory Therapy
Location: Lima, Ohio Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36
Role Overview
The Respiratory Therapist is registered or certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care to provide cardiopulmonary services. The therapist follows medical staff-approved protocols and department policies to provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to inpatients and outpatients.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
- Delivering medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
- Maintaining airways and managing ventilators
- Inserting arterial lines and assisting with intubations
- Performing pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gases
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Ohio, attached to the resume
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association, attached to the submission
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association, attached to the submission
