RN - L&D (Labor and Delivery)
Location: Austin, Texas Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (the source also lists "nights and days") Weekends: Alternating, rotating Call Requirements: None
Unit Details
- Unit: Labor and Delivery, 4th floor
- Beds: 32
- Staff: 150
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Staffing: 1 charge nurse and 1 co-charge nurse per shift, plus RNs to accommodate 1:1 or 1:2 ratios
- Equipment: Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, US
- Permanent Positions: Available on the unit
- Typical Procedures: SVD, cerclages, C-sections, TOLAC
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience: Labor and Delivery experience (minimum 1 year), with L&D experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP
- Skills: EFM, SVE competency, C-section circulation experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Internal monitor placement competency
- Previous assignments or employment with the system
- Experience in a Level IV (high-volume) unit
