RN - PCU

Location: Smyrna, Tennessee Unit: PCU Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Beds: 12 Patient Ratio: 4:1 Unit Support: 1 tech for the unit

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
2 years of PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience, including experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Post-cath care including TR band
Advanced pulmonary treatments
Medication titration

Clinical Details

Requested skill set: Post-cath care including TR band
Advanced skills needed: Care of TR band, advanced pulmonary treatments, medication titration
Procedures performed on unit: None
Equipment: GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis med dispense
Documentation: Electronic documentation system

Patient Experience Requirements

AIDET
Completion of communication board
Medication teaching

Schedule and Policies

Scheduling: Every other weekend
Floating policy: In rotation with full-time staff and other travelers
Dress code: Charcoal gray scrubs
