Ultrasound Tech - Vascular

Location: West Hollywood, California Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Unit: Outpatient Vascular Lab Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Schedule and Shift

• Day shift: 3x8 hours (7:00 to 18:00), 24 hours per week, 8 hours per day
• Night shift option: 2x8 hours (19:00 to 7:00)
• Will start Monday through Wednesday. As caseload builds, could increase to 4x8 or 5x8 with additional weekday work.
• Weekend work: No
• On-call: No
• Floating: Yes (float units not specified)
• No scheduling requests can be accommodated.
• Housing is available (at additional cost).

Requirements

• Vascular Sonographer with 2 years of experience, including vascular sonographer experience within the last year
• Hard stop: Must have experience with vein ablations
• Schedule flexibility is a must.
• Certifications: BLS issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or RQI, and ARDMS VT
• State license verification required
• Education must be verified, and the program must be DAPIP-accredited (required for Ultrasound).
• Competency exam required by profession/specialty: minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed (a 3rd attempt requires facility approval).
• Criminal background check within 6 months of start, updated annually, including SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide, sex offender, FACIS III, federal district court, and OFAC searches. Open, deferred, or pending misdemeanor or felony charges are automatic cancellations. Traffic offenses are excepted, and DUIs are reviewed case by case.

Preferred Qualifications

• Travel experience preferred. First-time travelers are accepted, depending on experience.

Other Certifications Listed (confirm against unit description)

• ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke, and CPI are listed. Each should be checked against the unit description for requirement.
• Fire card: required within the first 6 months (must be completed through the facility's onsite course during orientation).

Health and Onboarding Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, stating the candidate can meet essential job functions
• TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON, or T-spot) within 1 year of start. History of positive requires proof, a chest X-ray within 5 years, and an annual TB questionnaire.
• Measles, mumps, and rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or a positive titer
• Hepatitis B: vaccine series, titer, or declination
• Varicella: 2 vaccines or a positive titer
• Fit test within 1 year, updated annually
• Drug screen within 1 year of start (no marijuana/THC), completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Seasonal flu vaccination documentation (mandatory during flu season; declinations are not accepted)
• Mandatory immunization acknowledgment form before start
• Modules must be completed before start (timecard to track hours)
