RN - ICU

Location: Richmond, Virginia Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Weekends: Every other weekend; no on-call required Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Unit Details

Unit: ICU, 10 beds, Floor 5
Staffing:
- Day shift: 1 charge RN, 4 RNs, 1 unit secretary
- Night shift: 1 charge RN, 4 RNs
Patient Ratio: 1:2-3
Equipment: Bedside telemetry monitoring
Unit Policies: Unit policies and guidelines are attached.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
2 years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience within the last year
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with ventilator management

Clinical Responsibilities

Assistance with RSI
Arterial or central line placement assistance
Slow/continuous dialysis via TABLO (SLED)

Float Scope

IMCU, NSICU, and MedSurg as needed
