We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team of professionals in our school-based settings. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to provide essential services to students facing various social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field required
- Florida Department of Education (DOE) certification as a School Psychologist required
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills.
- Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and counseling techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to special education and student support services.
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to the well-being of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
- Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement strategies to address students' needs and support their learning and well-being.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and crisis intervention strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to evaluate students for special education eligibility and contribute to the development of IEPs.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school climate by implementing programs that focus on bullying prevention and social-emotional learning.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with school policies and regulations.
