Description
ESS Clinical is hiring Full-time School Social Workers in Denver Public Schools! Pay starting from $69/hr up to $79/hr
Choice between W2 or 1099 opportunities
No Non Competes in our contracts!
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work or a related field required
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license in Social Work required
- Experience in school-based setting required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and counseling techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students, families, and staff.
- Understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to special education and student support services.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties.
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to address students' specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to develop and implement strategies to support student success.
- Advocate for students' rights and ensure they have access to necessary resources and services.
- Offer crisis intervention services when needed and provide support during difficult situations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with school policies and regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Promote a positive school climate through the implementation of programs and initiatives that address bullying prevention and social-emotional learning.
