Description

Education & Certifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in obstetrics, labor‑and‑delivery, and/or postpartum settings.
- Current BLS certification (required).
- Current NRP certification (required).
- Current STABLE certification (required).

Core Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments using established standards, identifying safety and educational needs.
- Develop collaborative care plans based on assessment data and communicate them appropriately to the care team.
- Implement, evaluate, and modify care plans in response to ongoing reassessment of patient status and goals.
- Complete documentation in accordance with organizational standards and approved tools.
- Assess learning readiness of patients and families, then deliver individualized education plans.
- Participate actively in unit‑based initiatives, such as in‑service sessions, committee projects, and task‑force activities.
- Deliver age‑appropriate interventions for the specific population served, adhering to policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and professional standards.
