RN - Medsu | Night Shift | Illinois
Assignment Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a focus on medical-surgical care, particularly on a unit that primarily handles stroke patients, post-operative cases, and other high-acuity conditions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing care on nights with a patient ratio of 5-6:1. Stroke certification is required, along with the ability to work three 12-hour shifts weekly, every other weekend, and holiday shifts.

- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2601 (negotiable)
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS Card
- ACLS Certification
- NIHSS certification required
Responsibilities
- Provide care to stroke patients not requiring TPA
- Support post-operative patients, including those with amputations, drains, and feeding tubes
- Administer heparin drips and perform wound care
- Deal with conditions such as altered mental status and COPD exacerbations
- Manage dialysis and CIWA patients
