Registered Nurse - ICU | Location Not Provided
Assignment Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Neuro ICU. This role requires expertise in managing critical care patients with conditions such as strokes, Ventrics, and post-craniectomy scenarios. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in ICU procedures and be adept at handling various RT equipment and drips.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Acute
- Shift Details: 12-hour Nights, every other weekend, rotating holidays
- Assignment Length: Not Provided
- Number of Beds: 18
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3060 (negotiable)
- Charting System: EPIC
- Floating: Required, primarily to intermediate & general floors
Responsibilities
- Manage patients with Ventrics, strokes, and perform post-craniectomy care
- Utilize and manage ventilators, arterial lines, and central lines
- Titrate various critical care drips as per physician orders
- Read and interpret telemetry strips
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL license or application in process
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Experience with Ventriculostomy, NIH Stroke Scale Certification, ventilators, and acute stroke management
Preferred:
- Experience with EPIC charting system
