RN (Registered Nurse) | Travel | Neuro ICU | IL
Assignment Overview
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit. This role involves providing high-acuity care to patients with conditions such as ventriculostomy, strokes, and post-craniectomy recovery. The ideal candidate has experience with managing ventilators, arterial lines, and administering tPA in an acute stroke management setting.

- Shift Details: 12-hour nights, every other weekend, rotating holidays

- Estimated Gross Weekly Pay Package: $2700 (negotiable)

- Local Candidate Policy: Local rate applicable if within 50 miles of the facility
Responsibilities
- Administer care to patients in a Neuro ICU setting
- Operate and troubleshoot Vents, CPAP, BIPAP, and High Flow equipment
- Titrate and manage various drips as ordered by a physician
- Read and interpret telemetry strips (Philips monitors)
- Participate in a 20-hour unit-specific orientation
- Float to different units as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL RN license or application confirmation
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Experience with ventriculostomy, ventilators, and arterial lines
- Certification in NIH Stroke Scale
- Ability to titrate drips and manage acute stroke cases
- Negative drug screen for all panels (Drug-Free Campus requirement)
