Registered Nurse - PCU | Travel | On-site | @ Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, Illinois

Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide specialized care for adult and geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will have experience with cardiac drips, stroke/neuro background, trach care, thoracic surgeries, and IR procedural patients, and will occasionally be required to float to other units or locations as needed.

Assignment Details

Shift: 4x12-hour shifts
Weekend Requirement: Yes
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2430 (negotiable)
Will be required to float to 9 BT units plus overflow areas
Position involves caring for a daily census of 24 patients

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
Administer cardiac drips and manage patients with stroke/neuro conditions
Coordinate care for post-operative patients and those recovering from thoracic surgeries
Float to various units within the hospital as needed
Utilize standard charting systems

Qualifications

Required:

Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Experience with telemetry and relevant patient care skills

Preferred:

Experience with charting systems
