RN (Registered Nurse) | Travel | Location
Assignment Overview
Join our Adult Medical Specialty Unit as a Registered Nurse, delivering comprehensive care to patients with acute medical conditions. Ideal candidates will have experience in acute care settings, particularly in general medicine, and are expected to manage patients with conditions such as cellulitis, sepsis, and respiratory failure.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: 8/4/2025
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Details: 3-12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Sat/Sun for days & Fri/Sat for nights)
- Floating Requirements: Rotation to any other acute care general medicine area (nephrology, neuro, ortho, oncology)
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2907 (negotiable)
- Charting System: EPIC
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care on a 56-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night
- Work with central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes
- Coordinate patient care with PCTs, who assist with vital signs, accucheks, bladder scans, and ADLs
- Utilize RT equipment such as BiPAP/CPAP and administer inhalers
- Participate in unit-specific orientation (2-3 shifts)
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL license or proof of application process initiation
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Experience with central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes
- Understanding of a drug-free campus policy with a negative drug screen required
Preferred:
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- Travel experience in a MedSurg floor or experience in a Level I trauma center
