Radiation Therapist | Travel | Rad Tech

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a licensed Radiation Therapist to join our acute care team. The ideal candidate will administer radiation treatments in accordance with the radiation oncologist's prescriptions and collaborate with the team to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.

Assignment Details

Start Date: Not provided
Shift Details: M-F 8 am to 4:30 pm
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3740 (negotiable)
Local Candidate Policy: Local rate applies to clinicians within 50 miles
Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

Administer radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
Observe patients for adverse reactions and adhere to radiation safety guidelines
Assist with dosimetry and tumor localization procedures
Maintain accurate patient and treatment records
Perform equipment checks
Participate in patient teaching for adult/geriatric populations

Qualifications

Required:

Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy technology
Licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety or license-pending for recent graduates
American Registry of Radiation Therapists (ARRT) certification within one year of graduation
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred:

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
Three years of related work experience in radiation therapy technology
Experience with Varian Trubeam, ARIA record and verify, multi-leaf collimator, HDR Brachytherapy, and dosimetry
