Registered Nurse | Travel | Neuro MedSurg Acute | Illinois

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Neuro MedSurg Acute unit in Illinois. The ideal candidate will have experience in level 1 trauma and prior work on a neuro unit. Responsibilities include caring for patients with stroke, spine surgery, seizures, and more, in an acute care setting.

Shift Details: 12-hour nights; every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday both considered weekend shifts; every other holiday required

Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2907 (negotiable)
Floating Requirements: Float in rotation with staff; if floated outside of general unit, will perform only competent skills with a trained nurse
Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

Provide care for patients with neurological conditions, including stroke and brain injuries
Titrate heparin drips based on PTT
Utilize house-wide telemetry; no requirement to read own strips
Collaborate with a charge nurse and house supervisor present 24/7
Participate in unit-specific orientation and training

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL license or application in process
BLS (AHA) certification
NIHSS certification
Level 1 trauma experience
Previous travel experience
Previous neuro unit experience
