Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Travel | High Point, NC
Assignment Overview
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide care for patients with conditions such as stroke, heart failure, and syncope. The ideal candidate will have experience in an intermediate care setting and be skilled in telemetry and managing hemodynamic drips. This role offers the opportunity to work in a teaching hospital with a dedicated stroke and chest pain center.

Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar setting
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Skills in general care of the intermediate patient, detecting and escalating neuro changes
- Experience in managing hemodynamic drips and understanding telemetry

Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients with stroke, heart failure, TIA, sepsis, and similar conditions
- Manage and titrate hemodynamic drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin
- Analyze and understand telemetry rhythms with support from cardiac surveillance
