Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing critical care patients, including those on ventilators, temporary pacemakers, and other life-support equipment. Expertise in titrating medications and participating in care team conferences is essential.

Start Date: 8/4/2025
Facility Type: Acute Care
Shift Details: 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a
Assignments: Prefer candidates with experience in Med Surg, ED, and BHC
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2754 (negotiable)
Charting System: EPIC
Number of Openings: Not provided

Responsibilities

Provide critical care to ICU patients
Manage and monitor ventilators, pacemakers, balloon pumps, and BiPAPs
Titrate medications such as Cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, and insulin
Attend team conferences during day shifts
Sign off on telemetry strips 3 times per shift

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL RN license or proof of application
BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience in ICU patient care and medication titration
Ability to perform hemodynamic monitoring
Compliance with a Drug-Free Campus policy

Preferred:

PALS and NIH certifications
