Assignment Overview
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with critical care experience to join an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will provide attentive patient care in an 8-bed ICU, catering to a range of patients including those with respiratory failure and post-surgical needs.
Assignment Details
- Unit: Critical Care
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2-3
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 - 19:30)
- Weekend: Every other weekend and as needed
- Holiday: Rotational and as needed
- Floating: May float to MS unit
- Charting System: EPIC
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2907 (negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care in the ICU
- Titrate various drips such as Precedex, Propofol, and Fentanyl
- Manage care for sedated, ventilated patients
- Utilize telemetry monitors for patient observation
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL nursing license or application in process
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with PEG tube care, CVC/PICC/Midline usage
- Ability to titrate vasopressors and manage sedation/pain control drips
