"Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry experience.

Active South Carolina RN license.

ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience.

Travel experience is not required; first-time travelers may be considered based on experience.

Key Clinical Skills & Responsibilities

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and remote monitoring.

Cardiac monitoring and emergency response.

Interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias.

Recognition and response to rapid response/code situations.

Monitoring patients with chest pain and acute coronary syndrome.

Care of patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and permanent pacemakers.

Monitoring patients with CVA/TIA and stroke workups.

Management of patients with diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, and GI bleeding.

Administration of continuous IV infusions and IV push medications per facility policy.

Patient Population & Unit Details

Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Unit: Cardiac Telemetry

Beds: 36

Daily Census: Approximately 30

Documentation System: Epic

Medication Systems: Pyxis and Omnicell

Special Procedures: Cardiac/telemetry monitoring, pulse oximetry, TEE, thoracentesis/paracentesis, dialysis, and negative-pressure isolation (AFB).

Interdisciplinary Support: Physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and other support services.

Schedule & Floating

Night shift: 3x12 hours.

Every other weekend; may vary based on unit needs.

Floating to similar units or other nearby facilities is required.

Call required; low-census standby may be possible."
