Job Description
Step into a dynamic perioperative environment at a premier 586-bed Level II Trauma Center in Topeka, Kansas. In this role, you will circulate a broad spectrum of elective, urgent, and trauma surgical cases alongside a skilled team of surgeons, surgical techs, and anesthesia providers utilizing Epic EMR. With a predictable three-day schedule and guaranteed 36-hour weeks, this assignment offers seasoned intraoperative nurses the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Requirements

2+ years of recent intraoperative Operating Room circulating experience in an acute care setting (prior travel experience necessary; no first-time travelers)

Active Kansas State RN License or unencumbered Compact / Multi-State RN License

Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications

Unit flexibility across multi-specialty surgical suites and trauma response teams

Day-one circulating independence handling emergency neurosurgery (craniotomies, spine fractures) alongside Ortho (Trauma & Joints), General, Urology, GYN, Robotics, ENT, and Plastics

Preferred Qualifications

Documented charting experience with Epic EMR

Extensive Level I or Level II Trauma Center procedural background

Seasoned travel nurse experience across high-volume acute care facilities
