Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT)

Required Certifications:

CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
Pennsylvania Respiratory Care License (Board of Medicine or Board of Osteopathic Medicine)

Responsibilities:

Assess, treat, care for, and evaluate patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction
Administer therapeutic respiratory care procedures in accordance with hospital and department policies
Complete required documentation, including:
Charting
Billing
IPOC documentation
Patient and family education
Perform diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies
Provide education and instruction to patients and members of the healthcare team
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:

Knowledge of respiratory therapy assessment and treatment techniques
Experience performing therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures
Strong documentation and patient education skills
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Required License:

Pennsylvania Respiratory Care License

Required Registries:

CRT or RRT Certification
