Title:  Surgical Tech 2

Location:  Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Contract: 13 weeks

Schedule: Day  - 4X10's - 07:00am - 5:30pm

Requirements:  2 years of Surgical Tech 2 experience

Travelers Only (Must be 50 miles from hospital location)

• Must have experience in performing local procedures with awake patients as well as surgical urology procedures under anesthesia
• -American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent.

Job Summary:
As a member of the healthcare team, the Surgical Tech 2 collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patients, ensuring that patient goals are met and the hospital's mission is carried out. Responsibilities include performing procedures across various specialties requiring advanced knowledge and skills. The role also involves demonstrating a higher level of collaboration with peers in decision-making related to surgical patient care.

Required Qualifications:
- Two years of full-time equivalent experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- High School/GED and one of the following:
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program.
- Completion of a Military Training Program as an Operating Room Specialist.
- Completion of a Froedtert Health-sponsored Apprentice II Program.
- Ten or more years of experience as a Surgical Tech.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent.
