Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Medical Technologist in the Laboratory department. This critical access hospital has proudly served the rural Meyersdale community for 70 years, providing essential services including 24/7 emergency care and comprehensive outpatient, imaging, diagnostic, and specialty services. We are committed to delivering high-quality healthcare close to home.

As a Medical Technologist, you will play a vital role in patient care by performing laboratory tests and analyses. Candidates must have complete and clear screenings prior to start. Orientation is held weekly on Mondays. Please note that candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel opportunities.

Position Information:

• Role: Medical Technologist
• Facility Department: Laboratory
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every Other/As Needed
• Call Requirements: As Needed
• Required Certifications: ASCP certification for Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science
• Years of Experience: 1+
• Float Requirements: As Needed

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 20 Bed (4 bed ER)
• Patient Population: Mixture of all Ages

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Phlebotomy experience & EPIC experience
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Some experience with Chemistry machine EXL Dimension, Sysmex XN-550, Softbank, Sysmex CA-600
• Personality Fit: Multitasker, self-starter, confident in being a stand-alone tech on shift
• Required Education: N/A

All candidates must complete the following clearances prior to starting:

• PA Child Abuse History Clearance
• Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
• FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (if applicable)
• PATCH-PA State Police Clearance
