Join a leading acute-care hospital as an Emergency Department (ER) RN in Lincoln, ME. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a skilled RN to work night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a commitment to delivering quality nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform initial age-appropriate nursing assessments and ongoing reassessments.
• Complete discharge assessments to identify patient discharge needs.
• Identify priorities for the delivery of nursing care and develop/implement plans of care based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Execute appropriate nursing actions to reach patient goals and communicate patient care activities to healthcare team members.
• Document patient care activities in accordance with established standards and hospital policies.
• Maintain a safe physical environment for patients and staff, ensuring supplies and equipment are readily available and in safe working order.
• Participate in emergency/disaster preparedness planning and drills, and respond to real-life emergency situations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Maine or compact.
• BSN preferred.
• Current certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Immunizations required: varicella (2 doses or titer), HepB (3 doses or titer or declination), MMR (2 doses or titer), Tdap, and PPD (2 step or titer within past 12 months).
• Ability to problem solve, critical thinking skills, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge base includes nursing assessment and skills for all age groups.

Environment: This role requires standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, bending, reaching, balance, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Exposure to infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and toxic cleaning chemicals is possible.
