Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 38
• Head Walls: 3 main areas - Rapid, Main, POD 3 (psych safe area)
• Number of Staff: 7 Day/Night RNs, 5 Mid Shift RNs
• Type of Equipment: Vent, BiPAP, EKG, Art Lines, Belmont, Chest Tubes
• EMR: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile:

• Must Have: Prioritizing, Time Management, De-escalation course, CPI (preferred)
• Preferred: Team Player, Time Management

Typical Procedures Performed:

• Port Placement
• Chest Tubes

Required Certifications:

Floating Area(s): Brookside ED

Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Navy Blue

Unit Guidelines/Policies: See POD 3 policy

Weekends and On Call: 4 Weekend shifts and 2 Fridays minimum requirement per 4-week schedule, 2 major holidays & 2 minor holidays
