Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med Surg, Telemetry Registered Nurse in Batavia, NY. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in patient care. The Med Surg, Telemetry unit has 34 beds and operates with a staffing ratio of 1:9 on all shifts. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population, including adolescents to elderly patients with various medical conditions. Most surgical patients, including those undergoing hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, as well as general surgery cases, will be treated on this unit.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med Surg, Telemetry unit.
• Collaborating with a team consisting of 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 PCT per 9 patients.
• Utilizing wall suction for patients requiring suction therapy.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitoring patient vital signs and reporting changes to the healthcare team.

Requirements:

• Current RN license in New York.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Preferred previous charge experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• First-time travelers are welcome.

The unit covers weekend shifts every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month, and float to other Med Surg units may be required. Scrubs can be any combination of navy blue and/or white.
