We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Tele Registered Nurse to join our team in Stockbridge, GA. This contract position is ideal for RNs with telemetry experience who are looking to make a meaningful impact in patient care. As a leading healthcare provider, we prioritize the well-being of our patients and support our nursing staff with the resources they need to succeed.

Minimum Experience: 2 years of nursing experience is required. First-time travelers are not accepted.

Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements:

• Overflow IMCU; Arrhythmia management
• Cardioversion, Cardiac CHF, Chest pain, Renal, Pulmonary (COPD, pulmonary edema)
• PE, DVT, Cardiac Arrhythmias (stable A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia)
• Surgical (cholecystectomy, appy's, chest tubes, biliary drains)
• Occasional vascular patients, Post Cardiac Cath, TR Bands, DKA
• Occasional Ortho or CVA patient overflow

All patients are transferred as soon as possible to the appropriate unit. The nurse will need to manage TR Bands as well as everything under the Med Surg umbrella, including basic arrhythmia knowledge.

Ratio / Census: 1:5-6; 32 beds

Unit Systems: Epic (Preferred), Pyxis, SBAR

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

RTO: Maximum of 7 days per contract

Weekends: Typically every other weekend, though permanent staff get scheduled first and travelers fill in the gaps as needed.

Floating: Yes, within the facility/scope of practice as needed.

Call Requirements: Call is rare, with a response time of 2 hours. Travelers typically do not get Precedex; this is for core staff to manage.

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day.

Compliance: Full compliance is required to start on time; if not compliant in time, the push back is 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Client Offer: Candidates will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit. If the clinical pass is within guidelines, candidates will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on a case-by-case basis. Locals are accepted at the same rate.

Please note: The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).
