Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med Surg/Telemetry Float Registered Nurse in Los Angeles, CA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Float to Med-Surg and other Tele units as needed.
• Interpret cardiac strips and manage dysrhythmias.
• Provide care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring, both on-unit and remote.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines, including PICC lines.
• Utilize skills in IV therapy, medication management, and respiratory care for ventilated patients.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Must have experience with ventilated patients and cardiac monitoring.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Must be able to work in a telemetry setting and manage emergency responses.

Unit Details:

• Average Census: 36 rooms/beds with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Every other weekend coverage required; no call requirement.
• Scrubs: Royal Blue.

Please note: RTO must be included in the submittal. No RTO is allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment. Once RTO is submitted, it cannot be changed unless canceling the requested time off, so confirm all dates needed off for the full 26-week contract.
