Facility Overview:

• Licensed for 457 beds
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• Stroke Center of Excellence
• Bariatric Center of Excellence
• Chest Pain Center

Department Information:

• 19 OR suites with 17 rooms blocked
• Average of 50 cases per day
• Minimum of 5 years of experience required
• First-time travelers are not accepted

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Surgery specialties include Trauma, Ortho Trauma, Ortho Total Joints, Spine, Hearts, MI Vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics, General, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, and Plastics.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• BLS
• NC RN License
• CNOR preferred but not required

Skills Required:

• Experience circulating in various surgical cases including Trauma, Ortho Trauma, and Robotics.
• Charge RN experience and scrubbing proficiency are required for night shift contracts.
• Flexibility and a self-driven attitude are essential.

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC
• Typical OR equipment

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: every 4th weekend
• Call required: Average of 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
