Join our team as a PICU Registered Nurse at a leading acute-care hospital in Albuquerque, NM. We are seeking dedicated professionals for a contract position in a dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma Center and Children's Hospital, providing critical care to pediatric patients.

Position Overview: As a PICU RN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to critically ill children. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Float to NICU and Peds ED as needed to meet facility needs.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1.5 years of PICU experience required.
• BLS and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Current New Mexico RN License.
• Experience with CRRT, ECMO procedures, vents, and inotropic drips.
• Ability to care for intubated patients when necessary.
• Willingness to work 4 weekend shifts for night shifts.
• Pending licenses accepted; no locals within a 100-mile radius.

Additional Information:

• Contracted hours: 36 hours per week (facility may call off 3 times during the 13-week assignment).
• Shifts are rotating; flexibility to work different shifts is required.
• Flu shot required.
• Parking is free for staff.
• New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks.
• A 6-month break is required for any travelers who have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached their one-year mark.
