Join a leading acute-care hospital as a PCU Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH, specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down. We are seeking a dedicated RN to provide exceptional care in a dynamic environment.

This position involves a rotating schedule every four weeks, where travelers will be assigned the same straight shifts for four weeks, followed by a rotation to the opposite shift for the next four weeks. Candidates must have at least one year of experience, and first-time travelers will have their profiles reviewed by the manager before an offer is made. Float within the facility is required, and you will be expected to work every other weekend (Friday & Saturday).

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS

Experience: Previous telemetry experience is essential, along with proficiency in IV insulin protocols and insulin drips. Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills are also necessary.

Patient Diagnoses: You will care for patients with active oncology diagnoses/treatments, including solid tumors and hematology. Additionally, you will manage patients admitted for oncology workups or with a history of cancer, as well as those admitted for other reasons such as surgical procedures, COPD, sepsis, abnormal labs, pneumonia, etc.

Special Procedures/Unit Details: This unit is a corrections unit of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) and requires access from a Corrections Officer (CO) to enter.

Parking Information: The WB and CXS permits require annual payment upfront and are not available as monthly permits. The WMC permit is available monthly. WMC offers 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage for $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days. WB provides access to 9th Avenue East/West Garages on weekends and holidays, with West Campus WB/WC lots available 24/7 and shuttle service for $196.20/year. CXS offers access to 9th Avenue East/West Garages on weekends and holidays, along with Buckeye CX and West Campus lots available 24/7 for $393.96/year. Prorated refunds may be available for unused future months on annual permits; however, current and prior months are non-refundable.
