Join our team as a CVICU Registered Nurse at a leading acute-care hospital in Albuquerque, NM. We are seeking dedicated professionals with CVICU experience to provide exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This is a contract position with a focus on delivering high-quality nursing care in a Level I Trauma Center.

Position Details:

• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience preferred; first-timers accepted.
• Certifications Required: ACLS & BLS.
• Weekend Requirements: As needed.
• Floating: May float to other ICUs, PCU floors, ED, and PACU to care for admitted patients.
• Special Requirements: Experience with Post-Op Open Hearts, bedside tach/peg, bedside surgical procedures, CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, SWANNs, ART lines, CVCs, chest tubes, Foley insertion, and NG tubes.
• Patient Diagnoses: CABG, aortic aneurysm repair/dissection repair, fem-pop bypass, pulmonary embolism, cardiac arrest, endovascular repair, heart failure, MODS, and sepsis.
• Equipment: CRRT, Hemosphere, Bladerscanner, Cortrak, ultrasound, Phillips monitors, Impella, IABP, ECMO, ZOLL, Dopplers, Glidescope, pupilometer, Blanketrol, Arctic Sun, Belmont, BairHugger.

Additional Information:

• No holiday RTO for December starts - must work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day for holiday pay.
• COVID Vaccine: Optional; facility is required to report COVID vaccine numbers.
• RTO Restrictions: Greater than 7 days needs approval.
• Facility is allowed to call off 3 times throughout a 13-week assignment.
• OT after 48 hours on all contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025.
• New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks.
• 6-month break is required for any travelers that have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached their one-year mark, whichever comes first.
