Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER) with a focus on Detox. This position is part of a rapid response team, requiring candidates to be available to start within 7-10 days from offer acceptance. Your ER experience will be valued, especially for this Detox position.

The facility is a Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. You will work in a supportive environment that emphasizes respect, teamwork, and adherence to facility standards.

Position Information:

• Role: Travel RN
• Specialty: MS-Detox; Experience with CIWA/COWS preferred
• Shift: 12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Call Requirements: No call required
• Required Certifications: BLS, ALS, PALS (Will need handle with care after hire)
• Years of Experience: Preferred: 5+ years (3+ years acceptable)
• Float Requirements: May be required to float to other departments as needed

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 13
• Patient Ratios: 1:7
• Equipment: IV pumps, Zoll monitor, IV catheters
• EHR: HMS/Medhost
• Patient Population: Ages 18 to Geriatric (occasional 17-year-olds)

Common Diagnosis/Treatment: You will encounter patients with substance abuse, polysubstance abuse, ETOH, underlying behavioral conditions, hypertension, syncope, seizures, liver disease, cognitive changes, and high fall risk. Treatments may include valium tapers, subutex, vivitrol, banana bags, and rescue medications.

Personality Fit: We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, works well in a team, supports current staff, and respects department expectations. You should be calm in chaotic situations, confident in clinical judgment, and willing to help improve processes.

Required Education: ASN at minimum; Licensure/certification required to work as an RN in TN.

Dress Code: Any solid color scrubs are acceptable. Unacceptable attire includes outerwear with logos or prints not of the hospital logo, hoodies, open-toed shoes, and t-shirts except on specified days.
