Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Step Down Unit. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing exceptional care to patients transitioning from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Our facility is known for its commitment to quality healthcare and supportive work culture.

As an RN in the Step Down Unit, you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and managing patients with heavy cardiac conditions, including dysrhythmias and CVAs.
• Administering medications and titrating drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin.
• Reading and interpreting cardiac strips, with support from a monitor tech.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists and intensivists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participating in the care of patients requiring Bipap, Cpap, and High Flow oxygen therapy.

Requirements for this position include:

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Experience in a Step Down or Progressive Care Unit preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

This contract position includes 3-12 hour shifts per week, from 7A to 7P, and requires flexibility to float to the ICU as needed. Our facility values open communication and offers block scheduling to accommodate staff needs.
