This contract RN position in the Operating Room (OR) involves 10-hour shifts, working 4 days a week from 08:00 to 18:30. Call is required, including 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days a month, with the possibility of more depending on departmental needs. The RN may also float to other facilities as needed. This role will involve heavy Ortho, Urology, Spine procedures, and Robotic surgery—candidates must be able to circulate in the OR. Please do not submit unless you have verified that the RN can circulate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible persons.
• Demonstrate the ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

Licenses and Certification:

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR/BLS Card
• ACLS certification
