Join a leading acute-care hospital in the beautiful Coastal Virginia region as an ICU Registered Nurse. This area is an outdoor lover's paradise, offering hiking trails for all experience levels and more than 20 waterways to explore. We are seeking dedicated and skilled professionals to provide exceptional care in our Intensive Care Unit.

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s. Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required.
• 48-hour contracts are available with overtime billed after 48 hours—please indicate the candidate's preference at the time of submission.
• Typical patient ratio: 1:2-3.
• Candidates must be willing to float to the Stepdown Unit, Emergency Department, or Medical-Surgical units to care for ICU patients being held.

Minimum Requirements:

• Three years of critical care experience preferred (strong candidates with less experience may be considered).
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission; no exceptions.
• Must be proficient in Epic; no exceptions.

Required Skills:

• Strong neuro critical care experience.
• Ventilator management.
• IV drip titration.
• Telemetry monitoring.
• Conscious sedation.
• Dysrhythmia recognition and management.
• Emergency response and critical care management.

Required Certifications:

• BLS (American Heart Association only).
• ACLS (American Heart Association only).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).

Compliance Requirements:

• The facility will not consider candidates with any license or background hits. Please thoroughly review the candidate's history before submission.
• Local RN candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position.

Submission must include:

• Completed Qualivis Cover Sheet.
• Current NURSYS report.
• All requested time off listed on the Qualivis Cover Sheet.
