Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Med Surg/Telemetry Float Registered Nurse in Los Angeles, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in patient care.

Position Overview: This contract position requires a minimum of 2 years of Telemetry experience. The RN must be able to float to Med-Surg and other Tele units. Candidates with background or license hits will not be accepted. Epic experience is required, as well as experience with ventilated patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias.
• Telemetry monitoring both on the unit and remotely.
• Utilization of Rapid Response Teams.
• Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, and Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery care.
• Administration of blood products and management of central lines and PICC lines.
• Starting IVs and managing medication protocols, including Heparin and cardiac drips.
• Care for chronic/long-term ventilated patients and management of chest tubes.
• Non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy management.

Unit Details:

• Average Census: 36 Rooms/Beds
• Ratios: 1:4
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No call requirement
• Scrubs: Royal Blue
• Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to read telemetry strips.
• RTO must be included in the submittal; no RTO the first two weeks of the assignment.
• Once RTO is submitted, changes can only be made to cancel requested time off.
