Join our team as a PCU Registered Nurse in Monroe, MI, and be part of a leading healthcare facility dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled RN to work in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down. This is a contract position with a focus on teamwork and adherence to our behavioral expectations.

Position / Specialty: Mixed unit PCU, Med Surg/Tele and Med Surg

Ratios: 1:4-5

Years of Experience Required: 2

First-timers Accepted: Yes, if greater than 3 years of experience

Weekend Requirement: Yes - Every other weekend (weekends are considered Saturday and Sunday for both Night and Day shifts)

Certifications Required: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

On-call Requirement: No

Will Clinician Float Within Scope to Meet Facility Needs? Yes - Will float to other areas as needed and will be given an assignment appropriate to experience and scope of practice including ICU, ER, and Behavioral Health.

Open to Accommodating Block Schedule? No

Locals Accepted: No locals accepted within 50 miles or less

RTO Restrictions: Greater than 7 days will require management approval.

• Patient Diagnoses: Covid, Stroke, NSTEMI, Chest Pain, AKI, Pneumonia, COPD Exacerbation, CHF Exacerbation, Cellulitis, AMS
• Medication System: Pyxis
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Intermediate Care Unit, Pilot Team Nursing Model (RN, LPN for 6 patients)
• Special Equipment: Safe Patient Handling Equipment
• Work Settings: Telemetry - Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response
• Interpretation of Dysrhythmias
• Management of Dysrhythmias
• Computerized Charting: EPIC
